Nuclear power part 1

Nuclear power plants are extremely efficient and I believe that we should rely heavily on nuclear for electricity instead of using fossil fuels. Uranium can generate 16,000 times more energy than coal which means that nuclear energy is way more efficient than coal; this would allow natural resources to not be depleted over the ages because you could get the same amount of power for less fuel. Also for every 25 tons of uranium there is  about 1 ton of waste compared to 25 tons of coal  which produces about 50 tons of waste. Therefore, Nuclear energy would be more eco-friendly than coal because 34,000,000,000,000 pounds of emissions emitted annually from all fossil fuel plants creating pollution and global warming can be replaced to 0 emissions from nuclear plants. In addition, Uranium is a very common metal, as common as tin and zinc. In fact, concentrations of uranium are quite common, it is just subterranean and there is not a high demand for it in the us since there is only 100 commercial reactors in the US. Unfortunately, only 19.4% of electricity generated in the US is from Nuclear power. Fortunately, if 100 reactors can supply about 20% of electricity needed in the US then we would only need 500 nuclear reactors to power the entire US. However, due to anti-nuclear protests in the 1960s there has not been any commercial nuclear reactors built in the U.S since. P.S check out my Nuclear part 2 blog to learn more.

P.S THAT CLOUD-LIKE STUFF COMING OUT OF THE REACTOR IS STEAM (HAS NO EFFECTS ON ENVIROMENT) NOT CO2 OR EMISSIONS
VOTE ON MY POLL THING AT THE CORNER OF THE PAGE IF YOU WANT THE WORLD TO GO NUCLEAR
