Fossil Fuel solutions part 1

There are many alternative power-plants that can substitute fossil fuel plants, its just that most power companies are greedy. The most ecofriendly plants include photo-voltaic plants, solar
towers, wind turbines, geothermal plants, and tidal plants. Nuclear and hydro electric stations are debatable, but personally I feel they both are Eco-friendly. The amount of energy the sun provides for us per day can be transformed into enough electricity to power the earth for a year; therefore solar power is very efficient. Photo Voltaic plant (solar panels) use pure silicon, a semiconductor, to force photons to give off electrons. For example, lets say the photons emitted from the sun was a space ship and it passed by aliens (electrons) who hitchhiked aboard the spaceship. Then the spaceship hit a solar panel and since it was a better conductor, the electrons hopped of and went into the power grid. Solar towers use mirrors to concentrate sunlight onto towers filled with water.  The light boils the water and turns it into steam to power generators.
