Future of the world

Hypothetical Future of Humanity if all goes well

Good Scenario. We make all the necessary choices.

2050: Robot Evolution starts but is not extreme until 2075. Population 9 billion. Robotics is a heavily growing Field. We are also beginning to switch all Fossil Fuels to Renewable and Nuclear. Fossil Fuels are banned. We are temporarily out of power for a year and after that, most infrastructure is replaced or we start earlier and progressively switch. We bring our co2 emissions drastically low.

2100: Robot Evolution complete. I presume that since our economy has collapsed because we are jobless. Multinationals also realize by firing all the workers, they are not making much profit. As a result, there are laws in place protecting us from "Lights out Manufacturing" (see automation post). We work less hours because of Robot assistance but we get payed more. All Nuclear Weapons are converted into energy at Power Stations. No one Possess them.

2150:  Nothing Much changes. We start investigating the Moon.

2200: The Moon is colonized.

2250:  We are developing technology to bring people to Mars. The Moon is populated and has reached Maximum capacity. The atmosphere must be changed and Mars is undergoing terra formation. See Mars Post to learn more.

2300: Mars is colonized!!

2350: We colonize Mars and the Moon.We will have a 40 billion population, earth reached maximum carrying capacity. We are now safe because we can solve overpopulation on earth by bringing people to other colonies. The Maximum amount of people on earth has been exceeded and we have resorted to bringing them to Mars and the Moon. A infrastructure develops and we rely heavily of Nuclear Fusion and Fission. Nuclear Weapons are banned and government is lead by scientists. We are safe for the next 500 years.

Even Though this may seem Far fetched to some viewers it is likely. Just go back 300 years ago and picture how far we traveled. Picture 300 years into the Future.

Nuclear

NUCLEAR
COAL

Did you now that  It is estimated that during 1982, US coal burning released 155 times as much uncontrolled radioactivity into the atmosphere as the 3 mile island incident?

Did You know that for 1 Death due to Nuclear Power Generation, 4000 die from coal?

Did you know that all the Anti Nuclear Papers are Rubbish? And that our energy consumption will double by 2050,  And will probably be 10X in 2150. Nuclear is the key, Go Nuclear, it is very safe. If we all switch to Breeder Reactors and Fussion, Nuclear Meltdowns can be eliminated. Check out My Nuclear Posts further down the blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tax Havens versus FATCA

In the past without government support around the world, Americans were able to keep offshore accounts in the Bahamas, Switzerland, Cayman Islands and many other tax and secrecy havens around the world without the IRS scrutiny.  Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act or FATCA became law on July 1, 2014,  The purpose of FATCA is to target Americans who are evading paying US taxes by hiding their assets in a foreign country.  As a result foreign financial institutions have to sign on to agreeing to comply with FATCA and a Global id number would be assigned to that institution.  By agreeing, the foreign financial institutions are required to report to the IRS all client accounts own by US persons.  If any FFI does not agree to sign on to this agreement, they will not have a GIN number and as a result US will impose a 30% withholding tax on their US transactions as a penalty.

The implementation of FATCA creates a burden on foreign financial institutions oversea as it creates A burden on system and resource to support this initiative.  Also those financial institutions in secrecy haven countries may be in violation of their own local privacy law if they sign on to complying with FATCA, a US based law. As a result small institutions abroad may choose not to comply and decide to deny or lock out certain services to Americans living abroad.

Skyscraper (Plant Series)

A Skyscraper is a building that is very tall, habitable building that has more than 40-50 floors. They are mainly constructed for residential, office, and commercial uses. However, I would imagine that in the future, in cities, some skyscrapers would be industrial housing many factories due to the extreme cost of land. The term skyscraper can be confused with highrise. However, the term skyscraper  usually refer to a building taller than 500ft, skyscrapers over 0.4 miles are referred to as Megatall. Some common features include having a steel framework that supports curtain walls which are non-load bearing walls. These walls have a nonstructural advantage and only keep weather out and occupants in, this technique reduces costs. Another advantage is that glass versions allow natural light to penetrate deep into the building. Also, they transfer forces such as winds to the main structure. Early skyscrapers had a steel frame which allows load bearing walls, taller than ones made of reinforced concrete. In addition, Modern Skyscrapers resemble a tubular areodynamic structure. This diverts loads such as winds and seismic activity from damaging the structure.

Cogeneration Plant (Plant Series)

Cogeneration plants are power stations that use a heat engine to generate electricity and useful heat simultaneously. It is a thermodynamically efficient process of extracting energy from fuel. All thermal power plants use a fuel to heat up water to create steam that powers steam turbines which powers generators. However, there is waste energy such as wasted steam, thermal energy, which usually gets emitted into the atmosphere via cooling tower. However, in a cogeneration facility, they use the wasted heat and steam to heat up water, and cool buildings. In iceland they use geothermal energy from geysers to heat up water in heat exchangers which gets piped to cities and towns. Types of cogeneration plants include gas turbine, gas engine, biofuel engine, combined cycle, steam turbine, nuclear, and Molten carbonate fuel cells.

Enviromental impact of Reservoirs

As the Global demand for water and energy increases, reservoir development and population are increasing at the cost of the sustainability of the wildlife, lakes, rivers, and forests. Dams and reservoirs are used to supply humans with drinking water, farming, and  hydroelectricity. However, sociological and environmental affects have been generated due to the construction of dams and reservoirs. For example, the fragmentation of river ecosystems, erosion, relocation of indigenous peoples, and greenhouse gases are some of the consequences. Greenhouse gases have the potential to be emitted due to flooding which may flood forest, which plant life cannot adapt to , thus they die and biodegrade emitting greenhouse gases.  In addition, they can block the migration of salmon and other species of aquatic life.

TERRAFORMING MARS

Mars is very cold in most areas because it’s atmosphere is about 100 times thinner than earth’s. In mars; early history, it was much like earth and it had a thicker atmosphere; however it was lost hundreds millions of years ago. This was caused when Mars losted its Magnetosphere due to asteroid collisions, 4 billion years ago. Without any magnetosphere for protection, solarwinds lowered the atmospheres density (making it thinner) by stripping away atoms from mars’ ionosphere (upper atmosphere ionized via solar radiation). Terraforming Mars would include creating mars’ magnetosphere because they are essential for increasing mars’ temperature to earth’s, for thickening mar’ atmosphere and for harmful solar radiation protection. Thus we  are giving mars a new moon ½  mars’ mass which would help increase temperature in its core and move the molten iron. It may also be important importing thousands of small asteroids and launching them into the core at intense speeds.  This would liquify its iron core, kick starting it’s magnetic field. Ultimately this would give mars’ magnetosphere back.
In addition, to increase temperatures and melt ice glaciers to extract water and to heat up the planet, we are installing thousands of movable concave mirrors (mirrors change their angles to beam the light to mars). This would beam light from the sun and concentrate it on mars’ surface or a glacier. This would also generate excess electricity via thermal power plant.

Cool Mars' Facts

Mars has many distinguishing characteristics. For instance, the red surface is due to the presence of iron oxide/rust. Also, mars has a huge crater called hellas planitia, located in the southern hemisphere of mars,it is 23,465 ft deep at the bottom floor, equivalent to the height of 17 empire state buildings (including the tip) and 1,400 miles wide (about twice the distance from New York to chicago). Also mars has a mountain, mt.olympus mons that it 3 times the height of mt.everest and is 84,480 feet tall. Mars also has 2 moons phobos and Deimos which are thought to be captured asteroids. Mars has a huge tectonic plate site that is a colossal canyon known as Valles Marineris. It was created when the a massive area/section of the crust had collapsed from a vast volcanic plateau that started swelling (also known as Tharsis area). The canyon is 2500 miles wide, the length of Europe and up to about 23,000 feet deep (approx 4.3mi). The tharsis area is home to 3 enormous volcanoes one of which 270 miles wide.

TERRAFORMING MARS

* Ideas are original. They are created by Hungry Turtle and not copied off a website

Companies/Government should import hydrogen from jupiter, a gas giant with a Spacemen ship and export it to mars. Mars has virtually a inadequate amount of water for a city or country so it would be efficient to compress hydrogen collected from Jupiter and store it in numerous spaceships which drop it off at mars. Like I said in the previous Terraforming post, Mars will have carbon capture machines that will remove carbon from the 95.3% Co2 atmosphere, leaving only oxygen behind. We can use the oxygen to support human life and to create water with by combining it with the hydrogen from Jupiter. You can also generate electricity through this process if it is performed in a fuel cell.

In addition, government/corporation should construct fleet of nuclear power plants, centrifuges, and uranium mines. They should be taking advantage of the high concentration of uranium, thorium, and xenon-129 on mars's surface. They should plan on having mars completely powered by nuclear energy because uranium is plentiful. P.S If you think Nuclear is unsafe, check out all 3 of my nuclear energy posts and most likely your opinion will change.

Top Economic Documentaries on Netflix

The Flaw is an economic documentary that discusses the 2008 economic crisis.  It suggests that the boom and collapse of the economy was due to the growing inequality population. As the richest 1% had accumulated a decent proportion of the wealth, the bottom 50% had a decline in living standards, thus to meet them, they had to go into debt. Simultaneously, the rich people had a need for expensive assets like mansions increasing the mortgage debt of poorer Americans. The film also discusses the credit bubble and how Alan Greenspan, the chairman of the central Bank, lowered interest rates increasing the bubble. This lead to the housing bubble and eventually the system collapsed in 2008, bankrupting many large corporations. PS. With the 700 billion dollar bail out provided by you, the tax payer, they were still in business.

Top political/economic Documentaries on Netflix

The Documentary Inequality for all is dubbed as one of the top 5 economic documentaries. I have watched it many times and I suggest you watch it. The film examines the increasing income inequality in America and its affects on government and the economy and its existence. It is presented by Robert Reich, a economist and professor at Berkeley. The film begins talking about the 2008 recession and the occupy wall street movement and stresses how the U.S economy doubled, but the profits and gains went to the top 1% which take in more than 20% of the national income. One of the most astounding facts it presents is that the richest 400 americans own more wealth than the bottom 150,000,000 americans, half our population. The film connects how our wealth distribution is equal to the 1920s and how the great depression is similar too the 2008 recession. The film also discusses how it poses a serious threat to all americans.

Inflation/Deflation & The 2008 Recession & Housing Bubble part1

Inflation and Deflation are basically a period of rising and falling price levels , inflation is a rise in price levels and deflation is a fall in prices levels. People, Government, and Business buy services and goods. During an inflation such as the 1980s, a unit of currency buys fewer goods and services. Thus, inflation reflects a decrease in purchasing power of money. For instance, a dollar remains 100 cents but if the price of goods increases from 25 cents to 50 cents, you can only buy 2 goods instead of 4. Inflations are sometimes caused by government spending, Businesses & labor unions, and oftenly wars.  A economy is most successful when everyone (big issue today) has jobs and many goods and services are being produced (with the exception of outsourcing). In many cases, a slight shift in prices can cause an economy to grow. However, a steady rise in prices such as an inflation, may create a shortage of goods as consumers hurry too buy before prices rise. Also, the cost of running a business may increase rising the cost of goods which starts the process of inflation all over again. During an inflation many people who owe debts benefit because the real value of the debt decreases (the number of dollars of debt remains constant, but each dollar is worth less). Consequently, creditors, savers, and people on a fixed salary loose money because each dollar is worth less. The main role of a central bank such as the FED (Federal Reserve Bank) is to control inflation and deflation so that the value of money is equal to the value of goods and services being produced through monetary policy.

Life in 2050-2070/2100

Note: My Predictions are only  based on My knowledge. I have not consulted an expert/webiste for his or her opinion.

U.S Economy: I believe that we will not be the worlds' super power soon. We have the highest national debt ever in history. Soon, in 10-20 yrs, we may have a big depression/recession like in 2008. I guarantee that this will occur because there is lots of outsourcing and this is affecting our manufacturing negatively, leading to unemployment and debt. For example, Manufacturing is the backbone of any economy,  60yrs ago China had very little manufacturing, a country run by agriculture; now it is an industrialized, extremely wealthy nation with manufacturing as the major source of revenue. If we continue outsourcing, which I am sure we will,  unless legislation is passed that taxes outsourced products at high rates of 30% and up, their will be a economical/social issue. Also, our National Debt is rising at extremely high rates, soon countries may demand the trillions of dollars they loaned to us back  and this will negatively impact our economy and society. Also, the cost of living is rising and the wages/salaries are not thus, people may not be able to afford subsistence thus increasing debt.

Population: Unfortunately, birth control may become a law. The population may reach 600,000,000 in the U.S alone  under certain circumstances in 2100. It may be possible that the total agricultural supply may not supply the demand for food. Thus birth control may become a law. However, if we have sufficient technology, we may be able to colonize mars, solving the population issue, making birth control unnecessary.

Environment: I believe that the U.S will have major environmental regulations and incentives to be eco friendly. This is mainly due to my belief of running a company that will develop technology that makes the world more eco-friendly for my career . I plan (current life goal) on solving or at least attempting to solve major environmental issues such as global warming. I plan on developing patents that increase efficiency and eco-friendliness in renewable/nuclear power plants (I am a strong supporter of  Nuclear Energy). I plan on lobbying extremely strict environmental laws with excess revenue from my company. This is possible because I plan on running a colossal privately owned corporation (not in the stock market so people can not influence my expensive environmental decisions by buying tons of my stock). I have so far invented amazingly brilliant patents that I am sure will generate enough  revenue to jump start my company. However, if I fail which I gauraantee I will not, there may be colossal environmental problems.

"Too Big To Fail" part 1

Corporate America is mainly a corrupt organization of large companies/conglomerates that fixes politics in their favor in many ways that put immense burdens on small businesses and the average employee. Some of their tactics is to run huge lobbying campaigns to influence legislation in negative ways. Other tactics include making connections with political figures. For example, Clarence Thomas, one of the judges of the supreme court is a Monsanto lawyer. He has always made decisions & passed legislation that benefits Monsanto regardless of how negatively the people is impacted. In addition, many corporations have huge donation campaigns, to influence government by influencing them to make decisions that will benefit them financially through the donation campaign. Due to the significant population of uneducated/looking out for their own interest judges on the supreme court, corporations can virtually buy a president if they wanted too because they claimed that corporations are individuals, thus they have no limit on campaign financing!

BIO FUEL

Biofuel is an inexpensive clean energy source which could supply a clean fuel for transportation. It accounts for about 30% of the co2 in the atmosphere created by burning diesel and gasoline. Biofuel is a fuel that can be obtained from organic material such as waste treatment plants and agriculture. Bio fuel are generated when sugars, fats, oils, and starches get converted into fuel. These fuels include biodiesel, alcohol, bioalcohols, biogas, and ethanol. Even though when combusted in a vehicle, co2 is emitted, the plant which was converted into the fuel absorbed co2 out of the atmosphere. In other words, biofuels have a minimal environmental effect because it has no carbon footprint. Some critics argue that biofuels will contribute to world hunger, because the crops transformed into biofuel, can be used to feed the population instead, helping prevent food shortages. However, this is misleading because biofuels can be created from waste products, such as used cooking oil, and switchgrass. In addition, biofuels are very biodegradable and have a minimal environmental impact due to it’s organicness. In an experiment conducted by the university of idaho, biofuel degraded 5 times quicker than petroleum diesel in nutrient and sewage sludge solutions and 2 times quicker in soil. Furthermore, the University conducted a toxicity study and found no mortalities and minimal toxic effects on rats and rabbits. They also conducted a petroleum diesel study. They found no mortalities, but hair loss and urinary discoloring in rats and rabbits.

Greenland Melting?

Due to Global Warming, Greenland and Antarctica are melting at an alarming rate because of the green house effect. According to the intergovernmental panel of climate change, global sea rise would be 3 ft or about a meter in 2100. This was generated when a  several mile long ice sheet broke off from Antarctica which exposed the sheet to more sunlight, increasing the melting rate. If the west side of Antarctica melted, global sea rise would be 11 ft, as tall as a 1 story building. This would be equivalent to a very high storm surge from hurricane sandy. Consequentially, many areas will be flooded globally and economic decline will follow due to the trillions of dollars of destruction. Hurricane sandy alone created $50 billion dollars of damage, an eternal flood as deep as a high storm surge on all locations, low points adjacent to the ocean would be flooded.

How To make A GMO

GMO’s are crops or foods that have their genetic structure altered. Most GMO’s have a roundup ready chemical in their gene that acts as a pesticide for bugs that eat the crops. In order to create a genetically modified foods, scientists first find and isolate the gene they what to insert into the plant. Then, they create a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to make many copies of the isolated gene. Next, they insert in into the plants tissue using transformation. Finally, they check to make sure the Foreign gene they added works properly, if not they tweak it; and once this is complete the offspring will be a GMO!  Unfortunately, scientists insert a roundup ready gene into the plant which causes the offspring to make roundup ready pesticides. In many studies, rats  who have been fed GMO’s containing roundup ready NK603 on a daily basis developed horrifying tumors, severe widespread organ damage, and premature death. Astoundingly, these tumors were so large the rats had trouble breathing. In addition, the same chemical NK603 used on the rat tests is being grown across North America and is widely fed to humans via inorganic breakfast cereal and corn snack chips. Furthermore, rats that drank trace amount of roundup ready (at levels legally allowed in water supplies) developed a 200%-300% increase in tumors. Astonishingly, the USDA allowed GMO foods to be sold on the market without conducting tests to ensure they were safe. Unfortunately, this was passed because of the power of lobbying and corporate greed. However, there are no proven studies with GMO’s and humans, one can believe that eating GMO’s helps contribute to health issues.
